Wishing Everyone a Safe and Happy New Year
I've been writing here for quite some time now. The Realtime Unified Communications Community has been one of my online homes and it's been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences I've ever had. I learn from you all every day, and thank you all for your ongoing participation and allowing me to share my views and insights here.
Just recently, my good friend Pat Phelan posted his wishes for the New Year. One of the things he mentioned is Sheryl and I as the "first couple of voice." We recently launched a new venture together focused on social media, social networking and the mobile computing aspects of communications, but that won't detract from our ongoing activity in unified communications together.
We're looking forward to an exciting 2008 with significant advances in unified communications, mobile solutions, casual computing and video.
Sheryl's been a tremendous motivation and inspiration to me, and I've had the pleasure of watching up close as she becomes a force to reckon with in the industry too. This has been an exciting year of change for us both.
I'm taking the liberty of thanking her here for all she's given me, and including her good wishes with my own, for all of you. May 2008 bring you peace and happiness and ongoing success in all your endeavors. We look forward to seeing and meeting many of you at the year ahead as we lay out our plans for conferences, seminars and field trips to a number of different places.
