Landline or Wireless?
I saw ain interesting post from Gary Kim today - 27% of Wireless Users Say They Have Disconnected Landlines. While I personally haven't yet abandoned a landline, I have to say that in our home, mobile devices or some Internet-based VoIP variant has far and away become our primary voice service. We user our Blackberries for everything. Intensely. To the point that I even abandoned my GrandCentral number that was the longtime business card filler. From now on my mobile number is what goes on business cards too.
We have a home landline, but we don't use it as the primary phone for anything. It's simply a way for family and close friends to reach us if we aren't available on the mobiles. Most of the time, if that happens, we're at home and the Blackberries are parked in the charger. They're both set to vibrate, so we don't know a call is coming in. It's our personal time and a way of ensuring we have that time.
I'm really curious about readers reactions. Do you still have a landline phone? What percentage of your phone calling is based on that instead of some alternate voice service>
