The VoIP Economy and the PR Clueless

What is it with PR firms representing VoIP firms who seem to be utterly sans clue? I've jest today trashed two pitches from PR firms wanting me to talk to their clients because they've found a way to survive during these "terrible economic times."

Here's a starting clue as a jumping off point - Whither VoIP? It's Right Here

The VoIP market isn't in dismal straights. It's actually doing very, very well in many areas. If your client is doing well right now, they're doing the right things like most of the industry. If they're floundering, shame on them. They need to reconsider their strategy.

And if they're trying to parlay a message that they're ok while everyone else flounders, shame on them for not seeing their own industry, and shame on you as their PR firm for helpding them deliver such a feeble message.
