Sylantro Awarded INTERNET TELEPHONY’s 2008 TMC Labs Innovation Award for Synergy Web Attendant ConsoleIndustry’s First Software as a Service (SaaS) Web-based Attendant Console Honored for Outstanding Innovation
CAMPBELL, CALIF. July 7, 2008 — Sylantro Systems, provider of the leading Multiplay Application Feature Server platform that enables rich IP communication services, has been named a 2008 TMC Labs Innovation Award winner for its Synergy Web Attendant Console presented by Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) publication, INTERNET TELEPHONY.
The Sylantro Web Attendant Console is the industry’s first Software as a Service (SaaS) Web attendant console that can be offered as a hosted service by operators. Using this multi-user, browser-based solution one or more receptionists within an office can efficiently control and dispatch incoming calls to corporate and departmental numbers from any browser based desktop, independent of physical location. A virtually zero-install application, the Flash-based Web Attendant Console eliminates the need for physical installation of any desktop software or hardware such as sidecar consoles.
To remain competitive, telephony operators are focusing on value-added services that are easy and inexpensive to deploy while expanding the range of services they can provide end-users. The SaaS model of the Synergy Web Attendant Console significantly reduces time-to-market and operational expenditures associated with the distribution and maintenance of desktop telephony software. Based on Sylantro’s award winning Synapps Web Services, it also allows end-users to grow their solution and integrate other web services such as location and CRM into the same application – allowing carriers to sell additional services to end-users without additional hardware.
“Sylantro’s Web Attendant Console is proof of what can be accomplished by applying SaaS and Web 2.0 deployment and development principles to telephony services and introducing them into telecom networks. We believe this is as significant as the application itself,” said Marco Limena, president and CEO of Sylantro Systems. “Innovations such as the Web Attendant Console are the focus of our strategy around value-added services for operators. This award demonstrates that our peers and the editorial community recognize the need for hosted VoIP applications and shows the progress Sylantro has created with the Web Attendant Console.”
“Sylantro has demonstrated to the staff of TMC Labs that the Synergy Web Attendant Console is indeed truly innovative in the IP Communications industry. The Synergy Web Attendant Console has made contributions that have resulted in significant advancement to the industry,” said TMC President Rich Tehrani. “We’re proud to reward Sylantro’s hard work with a TMC Labs Innovation Award this year.”
“The Innovation Awards exemplify the best and the most unique products and services that this industry has to offer. Sylantro has proven their commitment to quality and the further development of the IP communications industry through its Synergy Web Attendant Console,” added Tom Keating, CTO and TMC Labs Editorial Director. “My congratulations to Sylantro for earning this great honor. I look forward to seeing more innovative solutions from them as they continue to contribute to the future of IP communications.”
The TMC Labs Innovation Awards honor products that display innovation, unique features and significant contributions toward improving communications technology.
