Skype on the Blackberry
I probably haven't been doing justice to some pretty big news in the Skype and Blackberry world lately. In part, that's because I've been somewhat less that impressed with Skype. I realized this weekend that I'm quick to share criticism, but not always as quick to share the good things that do come from the Skype folks. The other reason is that while I do carry a Blackberry at times, it's very tightly controlled and I can't install any third party software on it. Think of it as a very proprietary Blackberry for a very specific purpose.
My friends Jim Courtney and Phil Wolff over at Skype Journal do a far better job of staying right on top of the hot Skype news than I do.
Jim's written several really great pieces on Skype integration with Blackberry recently. He's even won another friend, Alec Saunders from iotum, back into the Skype fold. In some ways, I'm quite jealous. I can't test iotums TalkNow out either.
If you're a Blackberry user (aka Crackberry addict) and intrigued by the idea of integrating Skype into your mobile solution, get over to Skype Journal and check out Jim's pieces.
