Pandora Networks and Worksmart Calling Plans for SMBs

As I said yesterda, I've been watching Pandora Networks closely here of late. Yesterday I scheduled some time to interview Pandora President and CEO Walter Snell in the very near future. I'm really looking forward to the conversation.

Pandora Networks Unleashes New Worksmart VoIP Calling Plans for SMBs

Award-winning Worksmart Unified Communications Service Now Offers Business Unlimited and Volume Minutes Calling Packages

EMERYVILLE, CA, September 13, 2006 — Pandora Networks, a provider of On-Demand IP communication services for small to medium-sized business (SMB), has announced new calling programs that further reduce telecom expenses and simplify cost management.

Pandora's small and medium-size business customers can now order flat rate “Business Unlimited” calling plans. For telemarketing and call center applications, the company has also released “Volume Calling” packages available at discounted prices.

The Business Unlimited package costs $20 per user per month more than the standard Worksmart Pro or Office service. This additional charge provides unmetered service for ordinary small and medium-size business calling. With Business Unlimited, SMBs won't have to worry about watching individual per minute usage and can enjoy a simple flat rate invoice month to month.

“SMBs have enjoyed unlimited calling plans with ordinary IP Centrex services for some time, but not from a unified communications service like Worksmart,” says Bill Evans of Amerotel, a Worksmart reseller. “While the value proposition of Worksmart goes well beyond saving money, with a business unlimited calling plan, the value proposition goes up a few more notches.”

Business Unlimited is available in the US market for outbound calling in the United States. International calls and conference calling are not included in the unlimited plan.

For high volume calling departments at outbound telemarketing firms, call shops and call centers, Pandora also unveiled “Volume Calling” packages. Volume Calling allows minutes to be purchased in bulk for monthly use at a cost far below Pandora's retail prices.

“Since Business Unlimited is designed with ordinary small business applications in mind, we chose to release the Volume Calling package so that our heavier usage customers can also enjoy reduced per minute costs,” says Pandora Networks CEO Walter Snell. “Volume Calling packages are available in 25,000, 50,000, and 100,000 minute per month packages, saving up to 30 per cent per month in usage costs. Volume Calling is available to Worksmart Pro, Office and Enterprise users.
