VoIP Tools Released at BlackHat Today

This is pretty quick updating for a post that's only a few hours old. Earlier today I noted that VoIP security was going to be a focla point at Blackhat. We knew TippingPoint’s David Endler and SecureLogix’s Mark Collier were maknig a presentation.

Today at BlackHat they released a set of VoIP hacking tools. that can automate or initiate a variety of different attacks against SIP devices.

Here's what's available that they wrote for their book, listed by chapter

Supporting Library needed for some of the tools

Chapter 2: Scanning
Chapter 3: Enumeration
Chapter 6: Asterisk
Chapter 8: Infrastructure Denial of Service
Chapter 12: Disruption of Service
Chapter 13: Signaling Manipulation
That's a pretty intense tool set for those doing really detailed testing and analysis.

The talk was very good with lots of demos. I did yet another VoIP talk at Blackhat and released my own SIP fingerprinting tool available via my website/blog. So just for the sake of completeness (shameless advertisement from my side ;)):

Thanks Hendrik! I'm glad you did and am going to copy your comment up into a post for people who read via RSS and may not catch the comments.
