Planning for VoIP Developer Conference

I'm working out my travel arrangements and plans now for the TMCNet VoIP Develop Conference in Santa Clara from August 8th - 10th. Unlike a lot of conferences, I don't plan on attending all the sessions at this one. I'm not speaking, so I'm skipping paying the full conference fees. Instead, I'm going for the Exhibits Only Pass that includes the Networking Receptions, but that's it. I'm not a developer myself any longer, and am more interested in talking to people there than hearing most of the agenda track. More important, it saves me over $1,000 and forces me to focus on talking to exhibitors.

I do have plans to hang out a bit with Andy Abramson while I'm there. I think we'll be celebrating his birthday one evening. We've talked about making a run over to Berkely and visiting the gang at SightSpeed. I certainly hope to meet Alec Saunders or any of the iotum team that's there. I just spotted Sangoma Technologies on the sponsor list, so I'll be looking for David Mandelstam And I'll be watching for the other companies I've interviewed people from -  Popular Telephony , BridgePort Networks, Sigma Systems, and anyone else I've missed. I will be going out of my way to look for Cisco, Siemens and Nortel folks around the exhibits.

This seemed like a good time to put out a feeler to readers here. Take a look at that Exhibitor List for the conference. If your companby is listed and has a story to tell to readers here, drop me an email and let me know. If there's a company listed you'd like me to seek out and learn about, drop me an email and let me know. And if you're going to be there yourself and want to connect to share coffee, get acquainted and swap business cards, drop me an email and let me know.

I'm hoping to collect up some interviews, podcasts and pictures from the conference and share them here
