MAXroam Saves Customers a Million Dollars

Big congratulations to friend Pat Phelan and the gang at MAXroam. I met Pat for the first time at ETel early last year. He was one of those people whose vision and passion about reducing telecom costs led me to call him one of the unsung heroes of the industry. Now, over a year later, the fruits of Pat's labor and commitment are widely known and recognized.

MAXroam saves its customers a million dollars.

Well I hope I wont be hanging of a Spanish balcony trying to do a TC50 interview with Michael Arrington this year.

I cant believe its nine months since we nervously launched MAXroam in San Francisco.
Its been a wild ride but its turned out amazingly good.

We have customers in 52 countries, alliances in Europe and the USA, Operators breathing down our necks begging to go back to the good old days and a fantastic team.

We were doing a rough estimates yesterday and we reckon we passed in early May a million dollars saved in roaming fees by our customers.

This is a tremendous milestone for us and we are exceptionally proud of the fact that we have kept a million in our customers pocket and away from the fat cats of the telephony world.

Heres hoping that the next nine months are as good and that we get to TC50 as guests this year.
