His proven track record of success has helped move these networks from
the drawing board to reality.
Ken spent 17 years with AT&T
and Lucent Technologies designing and implementing voice and data
networks. He later worked in the security marketplace and played a key
role in early IPSec VPN deployments. Ken is the author of IP Telephony
Demystified - (McGraw-Hill Professional ISBN: 0071406700), Enterprise
VoIP Security, The Definitive Guide to Converged Network Management and
many industry white papers and articles. He lives in Olympia, WA. His

Dan DeBacker
is an Enterprise Solution Engineer with the CTO office of Nortel.
Leveraging his 18 years of experience in telecommunications technology
- the last eight years with Nortel, Dan focuses on the Nortel Campus
Solutions and specifically the Ethernet Switching Portfolio. In this
role, he is responsible for cross-portfolio solution development
supporting total infrastructure convergence. He is also responsible for
driving features and functionality within the product portfolios
through interaction with Nortel Product Management, the field, and
Nortel customers. Dan holds a BS in Computer and Information Systems
and a Master of Business Administration from the University of
Michigan.
Owen Linderholm is Senior
Editorial Director of ITManagement.com. He is an experienced editor and
writer who has covered the IT market for over 20 years. In the past he
was Editor In Chief of sun.com, Sun Microsystems' main website and he
has held senior editorial management positions at Kaiser Permanente,
InfoWorld, Windows Magazine, PC World and Byte. Owen has also written
