It's more than $135,000 a year

I got a note from my friend Pat Phelan at Cubic Telecom and dashed off a quick reply that I'd be sure to post about it it when I had a free moment.

Upon finding a free moment (I have no idea how that happened) I also see that this announcement is rocketing around the net already. So i'm going to add personal insight.

First, if you don't know Pat, you have no idea what a blast he'd be to work with. He's a true gentleman, incredibly sharp, and just a great guy to work with in general. If you know him, you also know he's something of a chef by trade back in younger days. That just means the lad appreciates a good meal.

If I were looking to move to Ireland, I'd probably be on the phone talking to Pat instead of writing this right now. Tempting ideas tickle my fancy and this surely is one, but my life is pretty well anchored in Washington.

If you know someone who's a fit, pass them along. Pat's good people, and his company is on track to really great things. It'll be a great fit for the right person.
