What's on the horizon at Realtime Unified Communications

I know posting here has been light. I had to cancel some briefing calls last week that were supposed to be podcast chats and fule for conversation.  Now I'm in recovery mode setting up meetings and conversations. I thought I'd post some of what's coming here so you have a chance to see where we're headed in the next week or two.

Tomorrow I'll be chatting with Brendan Ziolo at Sipera Systems. We're planning on a podcast chat. It will also be a catch-up. Brendan and I both worked for TimeStep, an IPSec VPN leader, back in the day. We haven't spoken in years. Sipera has some news coming and we'll get some ideas what to watch for.

Twice lately I've had a chat set up with Jeff Black at TalkPlus and had problems come up. I'll work the logistics again to set something up with Jeff.

I've been working on podcast briefings with KoolSpan. I really want to follow up on that. I talked with them 2-3 weeks ago and they have an interesting story I think warrants some thought.

I've got a couple chats with Siemens folks coming soon. One to talk about their FMC solutions. They're building some momentum there. And another to talk about security.

I've also been working with folks on logistics to talk to Convergence, Narus, Intel, Sonus and Tadiran Telecom. I'll be pursuing all of those.

That's a bunch of briefing and podcast calls to coordinate. And I'm about caught up on some of my back reading. There were some things that flew by that I'll just let slide. And there are some other things that I'll do some follow up on. Pat Phelan has some interesting things going on at Roam4Free. Konstantin Guericke has something up at jaxtr that I haven't got fully working yet.

There are some others, but I'll leave them under wraps for the moment. And I watch every day hoping a Nokia N95 or N800 or some other goodie might show up at my door for more testing and comparison. I've got some feelers out about test gear from others, but haven't heard back yet. And so far nobody has responded to my offer to give away a couple of treats from Actiontec. If nobody pipes up in the next few days, I'll give them to folks I know will use and appreciate them.
