Thank you and Happy New Year

As the year quickly draws to a close here, I'd like to again thank all of you for your readership and participation. I've jsut been doing a bit of a review on how we're doing here on the Realtime Unified Communications Community. We began just over a year ago as the Realtime VoIP Community and knew there would be some hit in our visibility with that name change.

In December, we've had over 13,000 unique visitors here with more than 31,000 visits to the site. Visitors tend to stay about 18 minutes on average, but perhaps more interesting is that you average 11+ page views per visit.

Our Technorati ranking is currently around 32,000 out of all the blogs Technorati monitors.

And in a comparison Alec Saunders posted today, using a balancced metric for comparison, the Realtime Unified Communications Community ranked 25th of all the VoIP blogs. I found it interesting that the older Realtime VoIP Community still ranks 38thm but my personal Digital Common Sense blog that's been around for almost 6 years didn't even appear on the list. That's because I blog about a lot of other things besides VoIP there.

Thank you for reading, commenting, emailing, participating and supporting our efforts here. It's your interest that makes this a success.

On that note, it's Friday afternoon on the weekend of the New Year. I'm not planning anything extravagant, but may be out and about with other things for the holiday. Blogging here may be pretty light until Tuesday when we launch into the new year.

Have a happy and safe New Year. I look forward to all the exciting changes we see on the radar in 2007.

Ken
