Testing Begins in Earnest - Other things ahead too

I'm getting all set up for some testing, and you'll read about the results here.

First, as already noted, I'm beginning some testing of the Nokia N73 and N93 mobile phones. At early usage, while neither can replace my Treo 700w, they're elegant, feature-packed and quite impressive.

Second, I'm setting up the Actiontec VoSKY Call Center for some Skype testing. I won't be testing with the Skype 3.0 beta, because I have other problems with that. Actually, I've been noting an undercurrent of problems and growing dissatisfaction with Skype on a number of fronts lately. They seem to be having trouble with everything from security to performance to PR. But, Skype remains a staple of my communications tools for the time being and I'll be doing some thorough testing of the VoSKY Call Center.

Lastly, I'll be doing some extensive and long overdue exploration and testing of PhoneGnome. The latest 2.0 release has been getting great kudos, and I feel like I really owe it to David Beckemeyer to do a thorough test and write-up.

Also, now that I'm back home and settling into something of a routine again, look for a podcast conversation with Eric Hernaez from Solegy in the near future along with a conversation with the good folks at M-Networks. I'll be working to coordinate both next week and will get them online as soon as they're ready.
