Realtime Podcast Conversation with Ken Kuenzel, Covergence Founder and CTO
When I was researching the VoIP security article that I've written for the March issue of VON Magazine, I encountered several interesting new companies. Covergence is one that really caught my attention.
Covergence is the leader in scaling, securing and managing VoIP and other real-time services. The Covergence Eclipse™ product family delivers everything you need to scale, secure and control real-time services without compromising quality or performance.
Their Vision (from Covergence web site)
At Covergence, we are focused on enabling the mass adoption of new and more effective forms of real-time communication and collaboration. By giving organizations the confidence and knowledge that their real-time communications have the same security, reliability, performance and quality as their existing IP applications, Covergence is ushering in the future of the communication industry. The edge in SIP. I really like that.
Covergence. The edge in SIP.
Yesterday I had a chance to talk with Ken Kuenzel, Covergence's founder and CTO. Here's his bio from the corporate site.
Ken is responsible for setting the company's overall technical direction and product architecture as well as the on-time delivery of high-quality products. Over the last 25 years Ken has successfully brought large complex networking systems to market and enjoys a well deserved reputation for delivering high quality products in a timely, cost effective manner. Prior to founding Covergence, Ken was a Founder and the System Architect of Tiburon Networks, Founding Team and System Architect of Aptis Communications, and consulting engineer at both Shiva and Digital Equipment Corporation.Ken has been very generous with his time, both yesterday in chatting and last month when we talked more boradly about security in unified communications. I know I'll be watching and talking to the folks at Covergence more in the future.
Please join me and listen in on my conversation yesterday with Covergence Founder and CTO Ken Kuenzel.
