Interview with Sanjay Jhawar from BridgePort Networks online

On Friday, May 19th, I spent some time chatting again with Sanjay about BridgePort's solutions and the general trends in IMS and fixed mobile convergence. The podcast is now up online in the Realtime Community.

I used Gizmo as an outbound VoIP call to the PSTN to talk with Sanjay, and recorded the session using the standard Gizmo software. Asn you can tell listening to the podcast, the gain on the recording was a bit overdrived for Sanjay's voice, but users have no control over those settings. We'd finished our call and were done by the time I heard the actual recorded conversation. I've edited sound quality and reduced the gain a bit to clean up the recording, but any more editing and it begins to sound manipulated. I'm publishing this as is so you an ll hear the actual quality of that envvironment in the event you're curious how it might work for your own needs.

I'll continue to use different VoIP tools and techniques for recording interviews and the ThinkTank podcasts so we all hear a wide variety and find the best tools for our use.

Realtime VoIP podcasts are a pivotal part of the ongoing conversation within the VoIP community about standards, new technologies, and techniques for successful VoIP deployment. Realtime VoIP Community podcasts cover the high points in VoIP news and current events. In addition, tips and best practices for evaluating, implementing, and troubleshooting VoIP solutions will be discussed. We will conduct interviews with industry leaders, vendors and consultants. VoIP conferences, special events and seminars will be podcast from location at times.
