Shakeups and Alcatel-Lucent

This caught my eye a few minutes ago. It came out at the second- quarter earnings call earlier this morning too.

More Big News: Alcatel-Lucent CEO, Chairman Resign

As if the Siemens news wasn't enough, Alcatel-Lucent announced today
that its CEO, Pat Russo, and Chairman, Serge Tchuruk, are resigning.
Russo will stay on until a new CEO is named, and Tchuruk's resignation
is effective October 1.

I worked for Pat Russo many years ago. While I was far downstream in that large organization, twice I sat and talked with her over lunch. She's one of the strongest business leaders I've ever encountered.

It will be interesting to see what this change brings about.
