Junction Networks and Vicorp Jointly Offer Voice Solutions
New model for offering voice applications to the SMB market

NEW YORK and LONDON–August 20, 2007—Junction Networks, a provider of next-generation SIP services targeting the small and medium-sized business market, and Vicorp, a provider of VoiceXML service-creation tools, today announce an agreement to offer enhanced speech services on Junction Networks’ onSIP Hosted PBX platform.

The initial applications, a speech-enabled Dial-by-Name Directory and a Customer Survey, will be offered to Junction Networks onSIP Hosted PBX clients by October.

“Junction Networks has been delivering advanced services tailored to the needs of small and medium businesses since 2004,” said Robert Wolpov, president of Junction Networks. “With the release of onSIP, our growing base of more than 3,500 clients can leverage advanced third-party applications, such as those developed by our partner, Vicorp, without any technical expertise.”

Lee Cottle, chief operating officer of Vicorp, noted, “Building services is a very different model from building applications. Instead of designing custom applications, we’re building stock templates that an administrator can configure in minutes and activate without the need for any professional services or support.”

By leveraging Junction Networks’ Open Source IMS network published API, it was simple for Vicorp to create these initial application templates using its xMP development environment. Vicorp is also offering tool and training bundles for other application providers looking to design services that can be easily integrated into the onSIP platform.

“We’re quickly becoming a core conduit for application and service vendors to reach the SMB market,” said Wolpov. “Not only do we support any SIP-enabled endpoint, such as IVR and call-recording platforms, but with our revenue-sharing model, we give partners the opportunity to create highly scalable recurring revenue. The onSIP Applications Exchange will showcase internal and partner developed applications side by side.”

Dial-by-Name Directory and Surveys will be available through the onSIP Applications Exchange starting in September and will complement Junction Networks’ existing ACD Queue, Auto Attendant/Menu and Business Hours Applications. Custom voice applications will be available for onSIP clients through Vicorp also starting in October.
