News Release: Ingate® Systems Named a Bandwidth.com SIP Trunking Certified Vendor

Ingate® Systems Named a Bandwidth.com SIP Trunking Certified Vendor
Seamless Interoperability Between Ingate Firewalls, SIParators and Bandwidth.com SIP Trunking Service

HOLLIS, NH -- June 12, 2007 – Ingate® Systems (www.ingate.com), which develops firewall technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge, announces that Ingate Firewalls and SIParators have demonstrated full interoperability with SIP trunking service from Bandwidth.com (www.bandwidth.com ), a complete business communications provider offering advanced Voice-over-IP (VoIP), Internet Services and Managed Network Services to small and medium businesses.

Ingate’s award-winning Ingate Firewall® and Ingate SIParator® products make it possible for enterprises to connect their IP-PBX to the Bandwidth.com SIP trunking service by solving the Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal issues with the SIP protocol – while maintaining the security and integrity of the network. Ingate products also boast advanced routing capabilities that enable SIP trunking connections with unparalleled ease and flexibility.

Additionally, Ingate’s SIP Trunking Startup Tool, a feature included with every Ingate Firewall and SIParator, automatically configures a user’s Ingate device to work with the Bandwidth.com SIP trunking service. The installation tool is preconfigured to handle most IP-PBXs on the market. With the push of a button, the installation tool will automatically create a SIP trunk designed to the individual user’s setup in a matter of minutes.

“Interoperability with industry leaders such as Bandwidth.com speeds deployments and simplifies installations,” said Steven Johnson, President, Ingate Systems. “With Bandwidth.com service and an Ingate Firewall or SIParator, customers know they are getting a complete solution that provides the critical NAT traversal functionality and maximum security necessary for enterprise SIP trunk deployments.”

SIP trunks rapidly reduce costs by eliminating the need for an enterprise PSTN gateway, unused BRI/PRI capacity, expensive underutilized phone lines/trunks at remote offices, and by providing PSTN termination in the local area. Instead, SIP trunks create a redundant network that allows businesses to save money by consolidating their voice and data over a single IP circuit -- maximizing its usage by utilizing unused bandwidth. Further savings are realized by eliminating the cost and maintenance of cumbersome, expensive traditional digital/analog lines and equipment.

“The combination of Bandwidth.com SIP Trunking and Ingate Firewalls or SIParators provides customers with a certified, simple, all-in-one solution for all IP-PBX systems,” said Nathan Cameron, VP of Sales, Bandwidth.com. “Ingate’s technology translates the numerous variations of SIP from the leading IP-PBX manufacturers to a carrier grade signal. We look forward to enabling our IP-PBX partners, VARs and the SMB community to enjoy the benefits of our SIP Trunking product with Ingate’s dynamic solution.”
