Ken, as you probably know, I follow GIPS very closely. What are your thoughts on their new softphone? Isn't there a lot of these type IPBX extensions in the market already? And won't Microsoft or Cisco or Nortel just bundle it with their own IPBX?
I don't see the opportunity there, but I'm not as familiar with industry products as you.

You follow GIPS much closer than I do, but I try to pay attention.
I think you're on target, but some of these just don't compare with GIPS too. Cisco and MS do ok, but I keep hoping they'll pair up and license the GIPS codec. I'd like to see it become a more global standard.
I think it has big potential in some markets, but momentum at Cisco and MS could easily shift attention away I fear.

Your in luck. Cisco has licensed GIPS codecs and will be in product later this year if not already. Follows IBM and Oracle too.
MS is doing their own thing.

Hi Rick,
What I still not get about GIPS is why they are confusing things. They are a Swedish company, headquartered in the US and traded on the Norvegian Stockmarket using funny money nobody understands.
If they want to camouflage their hidden potential for the investment community there is certainly no better way to do this.
