VoIP Logic Announces the Integration of Iperia and Covergence IP Applications into Its ''Best of Breed'' Class 5 Platform
WILLIAMSTOWN, MAYNARD, & NORTH BILLERICA, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VoIP Logic™ LLC, a leading hosted and managed VoIP applications provider, is announcing today that it has successfully integrated additional “best of breed” systems into its core Class 5 VoIP network platform.
Covergence®, the leading provider of session border control solutions for the access edge, and Iperia Inc., a leader in unified communications, have worked together with VoIP Logic’s development engineers to deliver a seamless integration of Covergence’s Eclipse™ access-edge session border controller (aSBC) and Iperia’s unified messaging solution, both of which are now available to service providers worldwide as integral parts of the VoIP Logic offering.
“Both of these additions enhance the powerful suite of systems that VoIP Logic delivers as the best outsource solution for carriers as they roll-out or transition to a VoIP offering,” said Micah Singer, CEO, VoIP Logic. “We’re very pleased to be working closely with industry leaders such as Covergence and Iperia.”
Today’s access edge requires the ability to process registration traffic, manage registration floods, secure user connections, protect the service from intrusions and attacks, enforce user-defined policies, encrypt and de-encrypt content and manage thousands-to-millions of active endpoints - with negligible latency, jitter and loss. Covergence’s Eclipse aSBC is specifically designed to address the challenges of the access edge by combining traditional session-border-control functionality with comprehensive security features and management tools. Eclipse also helps providers create new sources of revenue by expanding service portfolios to include presence-enabled instant messaging (IM), audio, video, multimedia conferencing, Click-to-Dial and many other services.
“As service providers and enterprises start deploying VoIP and other real-time services, they are quickly discovering that the ability to scale, secure and manage them is essential,” said Bob O’Neil, CEO and president, Covergence. “By integrating our Eclipse access-edge session border control solution with VoIP Logic’s platform we are helping organizations quickly and cost-effectively deploy these services.”
Iperia’s ActivEdge™ software empowers users with a scalable and high-performance solution for a full range of enhanced services. Its applications are packaged as industry standard, off-the-shelf hardware components; while Iperia’s installation, training, and support services provide for a turn-key solution. The result is lower implementation risks and dramatically faster time-to-market with unified communications services.
“We are pleased to partner with VoIP Logic in its aggressive strategy to bring the best outsource solution to carriers,” said Chris Poer, Vice President of Sales for Iperia. “The combination of Iperia’s ActivEdge application with VoIP Logic’s Class 5 VoIP network platform will enhance the customers ability to build flexible, feature rich and scalable networks.”
These systems add greater flexibility and features to VoIP Logic’s Class 5 hosted network, which also includes systems from “best of breed” providers such as Sylantro, High Deal, NexTone and IVR Technologies. VoIP Logic has integrated each of theses systems into Cortex®, a proprietary web-based system management portal. Cortex reduces complexity and provides a single interface for provisioning, network management, and reporting for all users of VoIP Logic’s offering.
