Press Release: TRANSPARENT TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES HARDWARE INTEGRATION OUTSOURCING AGREEMENT WITH TV GUIDE CHANNEL

This doesn't have much to do with VoIP and enterprise unified communications. I'm posting it because as we watch the integration and evolution of video itno everything with do, with all the attention focused on IPTV, I think it's interesting to note.

TRANSPARENT TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES HARDWARE INTEGRATION OUTSOURCING AGREEMENT WITH TV GUIDE CHANNEL

ATLANTA, GA – February 15, 2007 – Transparent Technologies, Inc. (TTi) (www.ttius.com), a leading integrator for cable systems hardware, announced today that it has signed an agreement with TV Guide Channel to provide hardware integration and deployment services for the company's localization platform. The systems are now built, tested and shipped from TTi's facility in Lawrenceville, GA.

TV Guide Channel's decision to outsource these operational services to TTi was a result of TTi's proven expertise in cable system hardware integration and support as well as TTi's internal initiative to concentrate on the development of broadcast services.

“We are always looking to improve the way that we manage our business and look to partner with great companies along the way,” says Doug Turner, TV Guide Channel's vice president of product operations. “We've always managed integration internally so we did not decide to outsource or select TTi without careful consideration. Transparent Technologies is a perfect fit.”

This is the first time TTi and TV Guide Channel have worked together. TTi has more than seven years experience providing similar solutions for other customers and has built a reputation for flexibility and diligent solutions. TTi's CEO, Steve Blackmon, believes to properly service its customers; they need to understand their businesses, not just the technological needs.

“By outsourcing integration operations to TTi, TV Guide Channel has entrusted us with an important part of their business,” adds Blackmon. “We take this responsibility seriously and will work hard to deliver a seamless transition to our services. We are very excited to have TV Guide Channel as a customer.”
