The week in a nutshell and a glimpse ahead

I know I've mentioned here some of the things I'm working on here, but thought I'd give a brief update as things are moving quickly.

Later today I'm doing a briefing with Siemens on an exciting new solution they'll be announcing shortly. I've got some preview materials and am working on a write-up, but won't post until Siemens releases the information to the public. That's coming very soon.

Tomorrow I have a briefing with KoolSpan which we'll podcast. They've got some interesting VoIP security views that I think bring real value to the market.

On Thursday I have briefings with both Clarity Communications Systems (I mentioned them here) and Covergence (see here). Those podcasts should both be online before the end of the week as well.

I'm heading out of town for the weekend to get a little rest over the holiday. I'll be working on some book chapter actvity as I spend a little time at the beach in my 5th wheel this weekend.

Next week I have a briefing with Sonus. They were the early market leader in softswitch technology and continue to lead and innovate. I haven't spoken with them before, but have been working toward this for some time.

The week after that is the O'Reilly ETel Conference. I'm not slated to speak or participate in any panels at this point, but I'll be doing briefings, podcasts, pictures, video and interviews from the conference. I'm already slated to meet with Alec Saunders from iotum, John Todd from TalkPlus and David Beckemeyer from PhoneGnome, and Craig Walker from GrandCentral. I know I'll be spending some time with Pat Phelan from Roam4free and several others. Just don't have complete schedule firmed up yet.
