Realtime Unified Communications Community Chat with Stefan Constantinescu from RingNokia
A couple of nights ago I had a very different phone chat than the typical podcast series here. Rather than talk with an industry leader or company representative, I spent quite a while on Skype with Stefan Constantinescu from the RingNokia blog. Stefan and I found each other as an outgrowth of the testing I've been doing on the Nokia N-series mobile phones. He watches Nokia more closely than anyone I know. And I think his blog picture's great.

Stefan and I have traded numerous comments back and forth across the blogs, and IM'd a time or two. He's someone who often makes me think about my use of technology very differently. In particular, what really struck me was when he mentioned he rarely every synchronizes his phone. If mine weren't synched with Outlook, it wouldn't be of much use to me. This generational/cultural difference is extremely interesting to me as a baby boomer who's trying very hard to stay in tune with the next generation of business leaders. I'm very interested in what they look for as they enter the mainstream work force.
This was a fascinating conversation for me, and I'msure Stefan and I will continue to chat regularly. I'll be watching to see what he comes away from CES excited about too. I expect his highlights may be quite different from many other bloggers in the unified communications sector.
This is a long podcast, at 77 minutes, but I couldn't find anything I really wanted to edit out. I'd rather warn you up front that it's long, and let you know it's a different sort of conversation. You can take it from there, but I hope you'll join me and listen in on my chat with Stefan.
