Back from holiday and kicking in gear

Back from the Thanksgiving holiday here in the states. I had two phone briefings this morning that I'm working on getting posted. Hopefully both will be online this evening.

InspiAir Technology
InspiAir is a company based in Israel that's developed new metropilitan wireless technology. The little I've read indicates this will be really hot stuff, and an enable for wireless VoIP coverage. They're getting ready to make a larger push. Early Monday morning, I'll be talking with their CEO Tamir Galili.
The ultimate solution to provide wireless Internet services in Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) deployments, utilizing the IEEE 802.11 standard over license-free 2.4GHz and low power (under 100 milliwatt) antennas, is available now.
I spoke with Tamir this morning and am pulling in some information from their white papers and presentations. I'll have a written synopsis of this exciting new technology once I've got the edits done.

GrandCentral
I've talked about GrandCentral more than once, most recently here. While I've traded email with founder Craig Walker and exchanged some ideas, we've never actually spoken. The latest whispers are that they've got some new ideas in the works. Given that I focus on how folks like GrandCentral, iotum, PhoneGnome, Sitofono, et al can play together to do some pretty neat things, it's a good time to chat with Craig and put some more puzzle pieces together.

I spoke with Craig Walker, GrandCentral founder, this morning. I used GrandCentral's record a call feature and am diong some minor cleanup and edits on the MP3 file today. I plan on posting this one as a podcast later this evening.

Check out GreenPacket - same deal except they are already getting contracts:

Inspiair is also already widely deployed Rick. They're in Helsinki, recently in Tel Aviv, and in the states they're deploying in Milkwaukee and Kenosha. I think what we're seeing is a new trend in muni-WiFi successes.
