SightSpeed - A Glimpse of What's Coming

Andy noted this morning that Om scooped us all on some of the new features in SightSpeed.Om does that a lot. That had me scurry off to see what Om had to say.

Here's a twist that isn't what I expected to see in SightSpeed.

Place shifting as a concept, however is about to get more interesting. We have learnt exclusively that SightSpeed, Berkeley, CA-based VoIP software and services provider is going to soon add place shifting features to its new video/voip softclient.
Tomorrow morning I'll be chatting with SightSpeed CEP Peter Csathy. I'm real interested to hear what Peter has to say. Om's article doesn't provide a lot of detail, but does raise a question. What's SightSpeed's direction today. I see SightSpeed as a great corporate collaboration tool. Place shifting television is clearly a residential market. It has a very limited place in business. It will be interesting to hear Peter's view on SightSpeed's direction with the new version 5.0 client that's coming out shortly.
