Feature columns coming in February

Next month we're going to start a series of new feature columns here at the Realtime Unified Communications Community. They'll be sort of a cross between the blog postings and some of the white papers and other documents we've posted in the Digital Library. Our plan is to make these columns available as PDF documents available for download. I'll be writing some blog articles to accompany and the conversation each month will orient somewhat around a specific topical area.

Some of the subject areas we'll be looking at in the next few months include:

  • Computer Enhanced Business Processes - Some might call these the Software Oriented Architecture (SOA). Others use the term Software as a Service (SaaS). Many simply talk about convergence or integration.
  • Fixed Mobile Convergence - There's a huge landscape of integration opportunity that embraces the next generation of what our working devices will be. This evolution will reshape how we work in the future.
  • Mobile and casual computing are another fact of how our world of work is being reshaped.
  • Video services continue to evolve and grow. They're going to be very hot for the next couple of years. The variations and nuances of video present tremendous opportunities for business and for service providers.
Please stay tuned
