News Release: Skip2PBX is now available in New Version 2.1

Here's some news on the latest release of Skip2PBX. While I haven't used it myself, I've heard lots of positive feedback. It's been very well received from all I've seen, and this new version has some solid enhancments. I think the support for Sangoma cards is huge.

Skip2PBX is now available in New Version 2.1
with SIP Support on all new Basic and Enterprise Editions.

Greetings and very good news!!!

Our innovative Software Solution for Integrating Skype with Analog , Digital and IP PBX Systems is NOW READY AND WAITING…ON LINE!...in a JUST RELEASED (brand new) ISO!

As a lot of already know, Skip2PBX permits corporations to use Skype productively within their existing company frameworks with a very clever use of a modified Linux core providing a Network Secure and extremely stable way to incorporate all of Skype’s business functions without having to change their own operating systems or in some cases without even needing a personal PC!

Skip2PBX’s Cross-platform applicability list and versatility of configurations (Analog, ISDN, PCs with USB boxes or standard phone kits) can NOW BE EXPANDED to include SIP !!!

SIP support (as well as additional developments like complete support for Sangoma cards,) and further improvements such as the new Graphic hardware configuration and Pop-up Contextual HELP.

THIS NEWEST VERSION OF Skip2PBX contains the following NEW FEATURES:

  • A  new  “GUIDED CONFIGURATION” process for installing and configuring Skip2PBX.
  • SIP Support (G.711 audio codecs)
  • 100% Asterisk Compatible.
  • Now with new Linux Kernel 2.6.20
  • Graphic hardware configuration
  • Improved ON-LINE HELP and User’s Guide.
  • Now Also Supports SANGOMA cards.
  • Additional TIPS for using TOOLS.
  • Automatically adds Skype contacts to address book.
  • Exportation of address book in CSV.
  • Automatically recovers Skype lines.
The new ISO is NOW AVAILABLE here.

Skip2PBX’s "Automatic Free-Line Detection", an exclusive feature that ONLY Skip2PBX has which allows calls to a single (main) Skype account number to forward over and seek the next available line in your company’s exchange…meaning that YOUR company will be able to RECEIVE up to 30 CALLS all on the very same Skype account number! Worth the price of admission alone!

By installing "Skip2PBX", Skype can be fully integrated with your company's existing telephone exchange, permitting you to phone with Skype while continuing to use your traditional desk phones. And NOW, with SIP support, use Skip2PBX with IP phones and PBX systems. Skip2PBX is now even more particularly compatible with your Digium and Asterisk solutions.

Skip2PBX is rapidly gaining favour as the Skype “gateway of choice” among serious business professionals.
