O'Reilly's Emerging Telephony Conference - 2/27/07 to 3/1/07
Friend and colleague Bruce Stewart posted this on Friday, and I've been working calendar logistics ever since.
Emerging Telephony Registration is Open
I’m happy to announce that the registration for the 2007 O’Reilly Emerging Telephony Conference is now open. Surj Patel and Brady Forrest are co-chairing this year’s conference and they’ve put together a fantastic line-up of speakers and sessions. ETel ‘07 will be examining the effects that VOIP, mobility, VOIM, and SMS are having on business and culture.
For those who might not know, O'Reilly conferences are top-flight events. Tim O'Reilly has a reputation of bring some real leaders together in many different conference settings. This is one I'll have to make it to one way or another. I'll be glad to join a panel, bus tables, or figure out what else I can to join in the activity, but in the meantime, count me in.
It doesn't hurt that some friends - Jeff Bonforte from Yahoo Alec Saunders from iotum, Peter Csathy from SightSpeed, and Martin Geddes from Telepocalypse are already on the speakers list. I see Om Malik from GigaOm is going to be talking to. I keep missing chances to meet Om in person, to there's another highlight for me personally.
Mark your calendar. I'll see you there!
