Mid-stream thoughts on VoIP Developer Conference

We're past the mid point in the conference, but I thought during a few spare minutes I'd share some thoughts and observations.

VoIP developers are a very intent and focused group. This conference isn't for a general audience. It truly is a developer's working session. It's a place where ideas are shared and new relationships between developers get formed. I have no idea how many people are here.'d guess 4-500. On the flip side, the VoIP 2.0 conference TMCNet is hosting in San Diego in October is for everyone and will see several thousand.

This is the third year for this conference and my first time attending. I like the smaller, focused feel of the conference.

Attempting to blog live has posed some interesting challenges. These posts are all written on my Treo, during the sessions in progress, then sent immediately at the close of the session. Keeping up is a challenge. Spelling and typing on a foldout keyboard can be cumbersome. I know there are typos and errors, but I'm trying to quick information, posted here in near real-time. I'd love to hear whether readers found these posts useful, interesting or an annoying filler type of information. Another approach would be to just post a daily summary of the day's happenings with less detail. Feedback would be awesome.

Later this evening the exhibits open. I'll only be wanderingwith my camera and business cards to really see what's going on in there. Not sure yet how quickly I can get the pictures transferred and uploaded, but as siin as practical, I'll have some pictures up here.

Lastly, if you're here at the conference and we haven't mnet, come say hi.
