Leading Adopters Of Broadband, IP Services

I read this report with some disappointment (it's after all, a whopping 20 line post, nothing resembling a report). I expect a report to have more substance. I also confess a bit of incredulity because it doesn't present anything new, unknkown or surprising.

Minorities Are Leading Adopters Of Broadband, IP Services: Report

English-speaking minority groups, such as Asian-Americans and Hispanics, are the leading adopters of broadband and IP communications technologies such as VoIP.

The groups mentioned have the highest ratio of family in places where international calling costs are prohibitive. Much of Asia is well aead of the US at adopting both wired and wireless broadband infrastructures. These ethnic groups have been the leading adopters of VoIP and similar services for several years. This isn't surprising at all.

You can see for yourself the little bit the said. Not a very well presented set of numbers, with no statistical explanation even addressing the size of the survey set. "Reports" like this, too often look and feel fabricated and useless.
