Truly mobile VoIP?

I confess, my new Treo700W with EVDO broadband from Verizon really perked up my interest in wireless mobile VoIP. I've played with Skype on it and had some marginall success, It works far better for IM that it really does for voice, most of the time. Every now and then I get a solid broadband connection that makes Skype pretty workable on the Treo. There are some other SIP clients I've seen that will run on the PDA, but I haven't had time to explore them yet.

Are any of you doing this? What are your experiences? I know the press and lots of the online buzz is about mobile VoIP, but it still seems very bleeding edge at this point from all I can see. Anyone really doing this stuff regularly with usable results?

CALL ME!

I am in Silver Spring, Maryland; but call me, still.

You are asking: Where the hell is Silver Spring? Well, it's a small city just 15 minutes outside the United States capital, but you can still call me.

Oh, sorry – the telephone number is 270-0631. No it's not a cell phone. And no, you will not cause me to incur additional charges for roaming.

In fact, it does not matter when you call, how often you call or how long you talk – there is no additional charge to me.

I'll be in Florida in March, and I want you to call me there; and when I travel to Philadelphia in May feel free to give me a ring too.
