Juniper Moving to VoIP?

I saw a post this morning that called to my attention that Juniper Networks announced a new deal with SouthEast Telephone (SE Tel) to upgrade their network core with the Juniper M-series multi-service routers. SE Tel using the approach to upgrade their core network, but the root idea behind it all seems to be to boost web hosting capabilities and VoIP services. SE Tel is a leading VoIP provider in Kentucky.

One of the articles I tracked back to said -  "Juniper's M-series bundles IP/MPLS capabilities with support for both existing and emerging Layer 2 and Layer 3 services simultaneously. The multiservice edge routing platforms allow providers to consolidate multiple networks onto a single IP/MPLS infrastructure. M-series multiservice edge routing systems use a hardware-based approach combined with JUNOS software."

Juniper recently pulled off a dela with Seimens and Algerie Telecom for some MPLS next-generation networking. What interests me is where Juniper's headed on strong multi-service backbone solutions.

I've got a couple friends who work at Juniper and I'm going to reach out this week and see if I can get some good info to share.
